The plant I want is out of stock. Can you order it for me?Updated 3 months ago
The short answer is maybe.
If it’s a common plant that we stock regularly, it is likely we’ll be able to get it in stock again very soon. If it’s more unusual or seasonal, it depends on whether our suppliers are growing and selling it. We usually don’t know what plants are being stocked at what time until we have placed our orders with the various nurseries and suppliers we use, so even if you ask us directly it is not a straightforward question to answer.
If you are looking to buy a poinsettia in June, the answer will probably be ‘wait until November’; equally, often we cannot get the same plants in winter that are available everywhere in summer.
You can sign up for email notifications for when a plant comes back in stock on the product listings if the plant you want is out of stock. This would mean you were the first to hear when it came back in stock, and also shows us that there is demand for that plant, so we know to look out for it.
If a plant is available for preorder this means we are intending to restock but don’t have the plant back in stock yet; in this case it shouldn’t take longer than a fortnight to arrive and for us to be able to ship, and if there are significant delays we will get in touch.
