My plant looks different to the one in the photo, please advise.Updated 3 months ago
We try to check every plant thoroughly before sending them online, but sometimes one slips through the net that looks a bit different to the photos on the website. There are a few reasons this might happen.
Sometimes this is out of our control; for example, if the colour is different, it may be that the photo online was taken at a different time of year, or that a few days in the dark has meant a plant has changed colour. If you think it might be to do with this but aren’t sure, feel free to get in touch with photos and we can let you know whether this is a normal reaction for the plant and if there’s anything we’d advise for getting it back to normal. For instance, if the plant is normally red or pink but has lost this colour, this could be due to lack of light. If it’s winter, you may need to wait for the days to get longer; if it took longer to arrive than it should have, it might just need to adapt to daylight again after being shut in a box.
However, if it is something like the size of the plant, if you think it looks like a different variety or if you are at all unsure, please get in touch with us - we’d so much rather advise you directly as soon as your plant arrives. Let us know your order details, what your query is, and attach photos of your plant and we’ll be able to work out what has happened and come to a solution with you.
