Why does my Calathea have crispy leaf tips?Updated 3 months ago

If your Calathea has brown, crispy edges to its leaves, it’s not getting enough moisture - either in the air or in the soil. If there are yellow haloes around the crispy areas, it’s more likely to be in the air - they like to be humid! Make sure they are out of direct sun, away from radiators and out of draughts. Moving to a kitchen or bathroom can help as these are usually slightly more humid spaces in the home. You can also group them with other plants, give them a very frequent heavy misting, or pop them in a pebble tray - a tray filled with pebbles, gravel or hydroponic substrate and topped up with water.
