Why are my succulent’s leaves turning black?Updated 3 months ago

If your succulent’s foliage is turning black, it’s most likely had too much water. You need to let its soil totally dry between waters, so if yours is starting to go squishy in the middle, or developing yellow or black foliage quite quickly, you may have a case of root rot. It isn’t the best sign for a plant, but you may be able to help it recover. Change over the soil, and trim off any rotten roots with a clean, sharp blade. Make sure to use well-draining soil designed for cacti & succulents and let the soil dry out between waters, especially while your plant is still recovering.
